Róbert Fjólnir Birkisson, a specialist in the application and implementation of AI solutions at Miðeind, was a guest on the Morning radio show on Rás 2 yesterday, Wednesday, 18 March 2026.

In the interview, he reviewed the state of Icelandic language technology and discussed, among other things, where Icelandic stands in the world of artificial intelligence compared to other languages, how we at Miðeind measure the capabilities of the models, and the need for subtitling of Icelandic content.
