We at Miðeind are celebrating the milestone of reaching 40,000 Málstaður users. It was only in May that we reached 30,000 users, and in the months since, we have added various features to Málstaður:

• You can now translate entire documents in Erlendur without losing the formatting.

• Málfríður now calculates a readability score for your text and provides more precise suggestions.

• Lísa is now available on Málstaður, allowing you to OCR images and scanned documents so you can continue working with the text they contain.

• Hreimur has been overhauled, and it is now even more convenient to scan the output as text or subtitles, search it, filter it, and follow speakers. You can also now click on a word in the output to move the player to that point. Finally, it is much clearer how to download your text in different formats and what that entails.

• A Google Drive integration has been added, so you can now retrieve documents directly from Drive and save the results back there.

We are delighted with the reception and there are more exciting things coming to Málstaður this autumn, which we look forward to telling you more about.
